Dr. Ure is a dedicated general dentist serving the Crestview, Florida community at Ure Family Dentist. He brings a unique combination of clinical expertise, military leadership, and a genuine commitment to patient care. Before joining private practice, Dr. Ure served as a Dental Officer and Captain in the United States Air Force, where he took on key leadership roles including DECON Team Chief and Preventive Dentistry Officer in Charge. His clinical work involved everything from oral surgery and IV sedation to prosthodontics and general restorative care.
Dr. Ure completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency through the U.S. Air Force, where he received in-depth training across all dental specialties. He gained hands-on experience with complex treatment planning, CAD/CAM prosthodontics, periodontal procedures, endodontics, and more. During his residency, he was recognized as the top resident for clinical productivity and a top performer academically.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Midwestern University in Arizona, where he completed over 50 CAD/CAM same-day restorations and received awards for digital dentistry, character, and academic excellence. Prior to dental school, Dr. Ure studied History with a minor in Anthropology at Brigham Young University, graduating with honors while also serving as a teaching assistant in subjects ranging from literature to molecular biology.
Dr. Ure is passionate about staying current with advancements in dentistry. He has completed continuing education in Functional Occlusion through the Dawson Academy and earned a certification in Comprehensive Implantology through the American Institute of Implant Dentistry. He is currently pursuing mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ure has a background in small business ownership, having operated a family-run window cleaning company for several years. This experience helped shape his approach to patient care—focused on clear communication, service, and building lasting relationships.
He is also a proud recipient of numerous honors, including the Eagle Scout Award and several military commendations, reflecting his lifelong commitment to excellence, service, and personal growth.
